Alexey Gavrilov's dance career began at the age of 6 at one of the top dance schools in Russia. He represented his city and country at prestigious Russian and international competitions winning numerous awards including Champion and Best Couple of the Year of the Chelyabinsk Region Ballroom Competition, Champion of the Seattle Star Ball in the Latin and Standard program, and Champion of the Autumn Classic. Alexey is a versatile instructor teaching all types of Ballroom dance. Smooth, Rhythm, Standard, and Latin as well as Argentine Tango. His teaching career started early on working with students of all age groups. As an award winning choreographer, he trained and choreographed for competitive couples who went on to consistently place within the top 3 in the US National Ballroom Competitions. He is truly the most patient instructor you will ever find and one who will make you feel confident in reaching your dance goals.

 
 

Aki Kudo began dancing at the age of 10 in various dance disciplines such as Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Hip Hop. She was accepted into the Steps Conservatory Scholarship program in NYC where she trained with top national and international dance instructors. After her studies, she began Ballroom Dance as well as Argentine Tango where she found her true passion. Training with world renown tango masters, she went on to become Champion of two Argentine Tango Championships in the US in the stage category. Aki currently specializes in teaching Argentine Tango to all age groups including blind and visually impaired students. Her commitment and attention to detail will help you achieve your personal dance goals.

 
 

Together as dance and life partners, Alexey and Aki won the title of Vice Champion of the USA Official Tango Championship the stage category and also had the privilege of performing at the BAM with The Tango For All Dance Company in 2017 founded by Diego Blanco and Ana Padron.

In addition to their accomplishments, Alexey and Aki are founders of GAVRILOV DANCE, a dance arts program dedicated to children with special needs. Their mission is to provide a structured dance arts program specifically for and dedicated to children with special needs. They bring years of experience within the disciplines of ballroom dance to our local communities. GAVRILOV DANCE promotes this dance program as well as socially oriented activities that unite families and give children with special needs an opportunity to express their artistic abilities while strengthening their mind and body.
