Argentine Tango is an improvisational dance. What makes this dance unique and addicting is the connection and story you build with your partner while you dance. In this class you will learn the basic elements of Argentine Tango- the embrace, the walk, lead & follow, communication and musicality while working on the fundamentals such as posture and coordination. If you are new to the tango world or would like to continue to improve the basic elements of this dance, this will be a great class to practice or establish your foundation. Some of the skills you will be able to acquire from this class: The walk (forward, back, side, changes of weight, rock steps), the embrace (close and open), cross & parallel system, forward & backward ochos, the cross, giros (turns), ocho cortado, paradas, sandwich etc. No partner required.
